PRIVATE STUDIO
Let’s begin your journey and transform your voice.
A skilled diagnostician with over 30 years of
professional teaching experience.
I instruct both adult and youth singers on how to simplify their vocal approach by teaching them about the physicality of singing and the overall principles of voice technique. I learn about the heart of my students and develop an individual, personally tailored plan to guide them through highly effective and motivating technical exercises combined with a well rounded awareness of performance skills. My studio is a safe and open space for learning and making mistakes. With my vast knowledge of repertoire I will help my singers choose material that is suitable to address their vocal abilities.
Together, we will move towards the goal of learning a complete and transformative method to ensure a healthy vocal production.

FREQUENTLY
ASKED
WHERE SHOULD I BE LOCATED FOR MY VIRTUAL LESSON?
Find a private singing space in your home to sing. Ideally, this is not your bed. You need to be able to sit in front of your computer and stand in the room. Make sure you are close to the router and have a good internet connection.
HOW DOES ACCOMPANIMENT WORK FOR VIRTUAL LESSONS?
Because of lag, I will not be accompanying you on piano. You will need to find a good karaoke track of your song. YouTube is an excellent resource for accompaniment tracks. I can assist you in finding these.
SHOULD I BOOK MY LESSON IN PERSON OR VIRTUALLY?
For the foreseeable future , I will be exclusively offering virtual lessons. I love teaching virtually. I find students who don’t have to find parking, deal with traffic, or subways or snow storms much more relaxed. Feel free to wear pjs, or pour a glass of wine prior to your session. Please email me to find an opening in my schedule.
WHAT SOFTWARE DO I NEED FOR VIRTUAL LESSONS?
We use Zoom for group classes and Skype for private lessons.
WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE/BRING FOR MY SESSION?
Once you have selected a song you’d like to work on, search for the sheet music online to find a PDF and print it so you can make notes on the music. You will also need a music playing device (see accompaniment FAQ) that is separate from your computer where the call is on. A smartphone will work well, but I recommend having an external speaker hooked up to your device.
